Current Responsibilities

Anna began working with the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation in July 2012 as a Senior Financial Analyst. When Anna arrived in the Foundation, she helped to create processes and procedures for utilizing and budgeting for the use of restricted funds, endowments and grant funding. Anna was promoted to Director, Foundation Operations in October 2014. Anna continues to provides operational oversight for processes and procedures within the Foundation. In addition, Anna is responsible for overall compliance of finances which includes budgets, cash management, and accounting of donor contributions. Compliance and management of contracts and agreements, the donor database, and donor stewardship also fall under Anna’s management.

Anna Johanson joined Piedmont Healthcare in October 2007 as a finance and contracts analyst in Piedmont Hospital's Cardiovascular Research Department. She was promoted to Sr. Financial Analyst when the Piedmont Healthcare Research Institute department was created in July 2008.

Prior Experience
Prior to joining Piedmont Anna was a Research Financial Analyst at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL for four years. H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center is a nonprofit cancer treatment and research hospital. Anna was responsible for the financial compliance and reporting of clinical and scientific research grants.

Education, Awards and Community
Anna holds a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics from Newberry College in Newberry, SC.
