Athens, Ga. (October 31, 2025) – Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center is inviting the community to take part in its Stuff the Truck event on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at PetSmart, 1791 Oconee Connector.

Participants can purchase a stuffed animal at PetSmart and place it in an Oconee County Fire Department vehicle. All donations will benefit children receiving care at Piedmont Athens Regional, providing comfort during their hospital stay.

“This event is a simple way for our community to make a big impact,” said Tammy Gilland, director of community outreach for Piedmont Athens Regional. “Every stuffed animal donated through this program helps brighten a child’s day.”
