Jasper, Ga. (October 6, 2025) – The Piedmont Mountainside Hospital Auxiliary is proud to host a community yard sale on Friday, October 10 (8 AM – 4 PM) and Saturday, October 11 (8 AM – 12 PM) at 65 Salem Church Road, Jasper. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Judy Shaw Scholarship Program, which supports aspiring nurses in Pickens and Gilmer counties.

The yard sale will feature a wide selection of donated items, including household goods, clothing, books, toys, furniture, and more. Community members are invited to shop, donate, and support a meaningful cause that honors the legacy of a beloved nurse and volunteer.

The Judy Shaw Scholarship was established in loving memory of Judy Shaw, a dedicated nurse who served the North Georgia and Atlanta communities for over 40 years, primarily at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Known for her generosity and commitment to service, Judy’s legacy lives on through this scholarship, which has awarded $40,000 to local nursing students since its inception.

The Piedmont Mountainside Hospital Auxiliary, chartered in 1970, is the parent sponsor of all volunteer groups at the hospital. With over 500,000 hours of volunteer service and more than $1 million contributed to enhance patient care and facilities, the Auxiliary continues to be a vital part of the hospital and the broader community.
