Athens, Ga. (September 29, 2025) – Piedmont Athens Regional and the Surgical Breast Care Specialists of Athens are pleased to welcome Fiona Denham, M.D., to the medical staff. Dr. Denham is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist with extensive experience in the management of women with benign or malignant breast disease.

Dr. Denham is passionate about helping patients navigate breast health with compassion and clarity, from risk assessment and genetic testing to advanced surgical care. She places a strong emphasis on personalized treatment planning and modern breast cancer surgical techniques, including nipple skin sparing mastectomy, breast-conserving and oncoplastic surgery, and lymphedema prevention to support both physical recovery and quality of life. Her clinical interests include benign breast tumors, high risk breast disease, breast cancer, and optimizing multidisciplinary collaboration for improving patient outcomes

Dr. Denham earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed her general surgery residency at Virginia Tech-Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Va., where she also served as administrative chief resident. She went on to complete a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She also serves as faculty with the American Society of Breast Surgeons, reflecting her commitment to education and advancing the field of breast surgical oncology.
