Athens, Ga. (June 20, 2025) – Piedmont Athens Regional and the University of Georgia Athletic Association will host the sixth annual Secondary Setting Sports Medicine Emergency Care Conference on July 18, 2025, at the University of Georgia’s Payne Indoor Football Facility.
This year’s event is open to athletic trainers, high school coaches, sports medicine student aides and EMS professionals. It will feature the most comprehensive agenda to date, with an expanded lineup of topics tailored to the evolving needs of secondary school sports medicine professionals.
The conference will include expert panels focused on integrating emergency medical services planning into high school emergency action plans — a critical component of student-athlete safety. Attendees will participate in presentations and hands-on training led by sports medicine experts, covering key areas such as concussion care, orthopedic trauma and general sports medicine.
The annual conference is an opportunity for collaboration, education and innovation in secondary school sports medicine. Admission is free, but registration is required. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for attendees.
The Payne Indoor Practice Facility can be accessed from the corner entrance on East Rutherford Street. Parking is available in the Carlton Street Deck for $10.
