East Ellijay, Ga. (June 12, 2025) – Piedmont Mountainside proudly celebrated the grand opening of its new healthcare campus in East Ellijay with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house attended by community members, healthcare leaders, and local officials.

The ceremony featured remarks from Denise Ray, CEO of Piedmont Mountainside, who emphasized the importance of bringing advanced healthcare services closer to home. "This campus is a testament to our commitment to the people of this region," said Ray. "We are here to serve, to heal, and grow with this community."

Special guests in attendance included Kevin Brown, CEO of Piedmont Healthcare System; Charlie Paris, Chairman, Gilmer County Board of Commissioners; John Marshall, Post 2 Commissioner; Johnny Chastain, State Representative; Kyle Ray, Gilmer County Chamber President; and Kevin Hoppe, COO of Piedmont Physician Enterprise. Their presence underscored the strong community partnerships that made the project possible.

Following the ceremony, attendees toured the state-of-the-art facilities, where they met with Piedmont's dedicated healthcare professionals, including Piedmont Mountainside Emergency Department, Piedmont Mountainside Outpatient Imaging Center, Piedmont Physicians Rheumatology Mountainside, Piedmont Heart of Ellijay, Piedmont Physicians Obstetrics and Gynecology Ellijay, and Piedmont Physicians Primary Care of Ellijay.

These new services are part of Piedmont's broader strategy to transform healthcare delivery across Georgia by providing safe, seamless, personalized care.
