Newnan, Ga. (May 21, 2025) – Piedmont has expanded access to primary care options in Newnan with the opening of Piedmont Primary Care at Arbor Springs.
The new clinic is located at 9 Arbor Springs Terrace in Newnan, in the front of the new Publix shopping center.
“We are excited to be able to expand access to quality care as we know patients in some areas of the state can have long waits for an appointment to be seen by a primary care provider,” said Michelle Fisher, Piedmont’s President of Primary Care & Retail Services. “Having a network of primary care providers here will help the community stay ahead of their long-term health by providing convenient access.”
Primary care providers (PCPs), including doctors and advanced practice practitioners, are important in helping manage the overall health of patients. PCPs have a wide range of responsibilities including regular checkups, developing plans to help to prevent diseases, coordinating care, and diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries and other health conditions.
“Having another avenue for patients to work with a medical professional to monitor and manage their health and underlying health issues is a great win for the community,” said Michael Robertson, CEO of Piedmont Newnan. “These providers will be a great asset in developing personalized and preventative care for each patient that can lead to more positive health outcomes.”
Three providers are accepting new patients at the Arbor Springs location:
- Fatima Dalwai, M.D., earned her Master of Science in Nursing from South University and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Armstrong Atlantic State University. When treating patients, she believes it is important to address both the mental and physical needs of the patient because taking care of patients as a whole leads to better health.
- Sang Ha Shin, M.D., earned his medical degree from Seoul National University College of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Memorial Healthcare System in Florida. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. He has a broad interest in medicine with emphasis for preventive health, vaccinations, and treatment of metabolic syndrome.
- Thomasina Bailey, N.P., earned her Master of Science in Nursing from South University and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Armstrong Atlantic State University, both in Savannah, GA. She is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Thomasina has been practicing medicine for 13 years as a Patient Care Tech, Travel Nurse, Staff Nurse, and Assistant Nurse Manager.
