To help you prepare for your surgery, we’ve prepared the below checklist. Your physician will provide a comprehensive overview during your pre-operative appointment. If you have any questions, please call your doctor’s office.
Things to Remember
- Do not have anything to eat or drink after midnight. This includes gum, hard candy or mints.
- Do not wear any make-up, perfumes, body lotions or powders. No deodorant under the operative arm.
- If you wear contacts, either wear glasses or bring case for contacts.
- Leave jewelry and valuables at home.
- Bring picture ID, insurance card and your Advance Directive (if you have one).
- You must have a responsible person to drive you home after procedure and stay with you after surgery including the night following.
- Park on P6 and then access our center directly from Parking Level P6 (Note: there is no need to take the elevator down. P6 is the equivalent to the second floor of the medical building, where we are located)
- Bring in your parking ticket for validation.
