Sleep-disordered breathing is among the most common comorbidity in heart failure patients. At the Napa Valley Cardiology Conference, Dr. William Abraham from Ohio State University discusses the latest treatments for sleep apnea, shares recommendations from the guidelines, and discusses an emerging device of particular interest to cardiologists. “If we are going to optimize outcomes in our heart failure patients, we have to treat both of these vicious cycles: the sleep apnea, as well as optimizing treatment of the heart failure,” he says.
