Atlanta, Ga. (May 7, 2025) – Aligning with its mission to provide quality care closer to home, Piedmont has welcomed more than a dozen new primary care providers during the last quarter.
Primary care providers (PCPs), including doctors and advanced practice practitioners (APPs), are important in helping manage the overall health of patients and have a wide range of responsibilities. PCPs can provide regular checkups, develop plans to help to prevent diseases, coordinate care, and diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries and other health conditions.
“We are excited to be able to expand access to quality care as we know patients in some areas of the state can have long waits for an appointment to be seen by a primary care doctor,” said Michelle Fisher, Piedmont’s President of Primary Care & Retail Services. “These new providers are here to help the community take charge and stay ahead of their health.”
Patients have access to same or next-day appointments, online scheduling, and virtual visits for safe access to Piedmont’s care team based on appointment type. Providers accept most insurance plans.
