Macon, Ga. (November 3, 2025) – Piedmont has expanded access to primary care in Macon with the opening of Piedmont Primary Care at Bass Road. It is Piedmont’s second primary care facility in Macon and its third in Middle Georgia. The new clinic is located at 100 N. Macon St.
Primary care providers (PCPs), including doctors and advanced practice practitioners, are important in helping manage the overall health of patients. PCPs have a wide range of responsibilities including regular checkups, developing plans to help to prevent diseases, coordinating care, and diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries and other health conditions.
“While we have provided access to care when people are the sickest and need emergent care, it is just as important to provide preventative care and care management to our community,” said Stephen J. Daugherty, CEO of Piedmont Macon Medical Center and Piedmont Macon North Hospital. “We look forward to Piedmont’s plans to continue to expand primary care access here in Macon.”
The following providers are accepting new patients at the new location:
Anh Le, M.D., earned her medical degree from Ross University and completed her internal medicine residency through Mercer University in Savannah at Memorial Health Medical Center. Dr. Le is board certified by American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Le treats a variety of chronic medical diseases including hypertension, diabetes, COPD, obesity, cardiovascular disease, stroke, CKD and GERD. Her special interests include women's health, obesity management and treatment, geriatric medicine and advanced care planning.
Nisarg Patel, M.D., earned his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed residency at Houston Healthcare/Emory Hospital in Warner Robins. He is board certified by American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Patel treats various conditions in patients 16 years old and up such as heart failure, COPD/asthma, diabetes, hypertension, arthritis and other musculoskeletal pathologies. His special interests include preventive care and joint injections (knee, shoulder, carpal tunnel, etc.), skin biopsies for suspicious lesions, complex diagnostic evaluation and the investigation of conditions with unclear etiology.
Izien Imoukhuede, M.D., earned his medical degree from Medical University of the Americas and completed residency through Unity Health. He is certified by American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Imoukhuede provides comprehensive healthcare services for patients 16 years old and up encompassing acute and chronic conditions, preventive care and mental health. He also coordinates care with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care. His special interests are family medicine with a focus on holistic patient care and preventive health.
