Monroe, Ga. (October 15, 2025) – Piedmont has expanded access to primary care in Monroe with the opening of its second Monroe location, Piedmont Primary Care at Monroe Pavillion.
The new clinic is located at 1042 Pavilion Pkwy, Suite 500, in Monroe.
“We are excited to be able to expand access to quality care in this area as we know patients in some areas of the state can have long waits for an appointment to be seen by a primary care provider,” said Michelle Fisher, Piedmont’s President of Primary Care & Retail Services. “Having a network of primary care providers here will help the community stay ahead of their long-term health by providing convenient access.”
Primary care providers (PCPs), including doctors and advanced practice practitioners, are important in helping manage the overall health of patients. PCPs have a wide range of responsibilities including regular checkups, developing plans to help to prevent diseases, coordinating care, and diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries and other health conditions.
“Having another avenue for patients to work with a medical professional to monitor and manage their health and underlying health issues is a great win for the community,” said Blake Watts, CEO of Piedmont Walton. “This will be a great asset in developing personalized and preventative care for each patient that can lead to more positive health outcomes.”
Advija Ibrisimovic, M.D., is accepting new patients at the new location Dr. Ibrisimovic earned her medical degree from University of Tuzla Medical School (BiH) and completed her residency at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Ibrisimovic’s special interests include diabetes, hypertension, preventative care and women's health.
