Macon, Ga. (August 28, 2025) – Piedmont Macon recently welcomed Renee Bryan as Piedmont Healthcare Foundation’s new philanthropy officer, who will grow and enhance philanthropic support for Piedmont Macon Medical Center and Piedmont Macon North Hospital.

Bryan’s new role is to work with the Piedmont community – physicians, nurses, staff, partners, donors and patients – to drive and coordinate the contributions of supporters who want to give back and invest in the future of Piedmont’s patient care in Macon.

Because it is part of a not-for-profit hospital system, Piedmont Macon can accept support from the community in the form of direct donations and grants to support programs and services that benefit patients and their caregivers. That includes new technology and equipment upgrades for things such as cancer wellness programs and services for new mothers and families.

“As a not-for-profit hospital, Piedmont relies on the support of friends and partners to help us fulfill our mission to make a positive difference in every life we touch,” she said.

Bryan graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. Before transitioning to the nonprofit sector, she worked in banking for more than 14 years. In 2016, Bryan changed career paths, embarking on a career in healthcare and later healthcare philanthropy. Originally from North Georgia, she has lived in Macon with her family for more than 20 years.

Bryan brings commitment and enthusiasm to her new position and said she is ready to get to work.

“I’m excited to join this team and partner with the good people of this community to make a positive impact in the lives of all Middle Georgians,” she said.
