Conyers, Ga. (August 15, 2025) – Piedmont Rockdale Hospital has earned recognition as a high performing hospital from U.S. News & World Report on the publication’s 2025-26 Best Hospitals list.

Piedmont Rockdale was recognized as high-performing in three adult specialties: heart attack (one of just 517 hospitals nationwide to earn this distinction), pneumonia (one of 639), and diabetes care (one of 506). To receive a ranking in any specialty, hospitals must demonstrate excellence in treating the most seriously ill and medically complex patients.

Each year, U.S. News & World Report evaluates nearly 5,000 hospitals across the country in 15 specialty areas of care. To be ranked in a specialty, hospitals must demonstrate excellence in treating the sickest patients. Scores are based on factors such as survival rates, patient safety, nurse staffing, and more. Piedmont Rockdale’s performance in these areas underscores its dedication to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
