Newnan, Ga. (August 12, 2025) – Aligning with its mission to provide quality care closer to home, Piedmont has welcomed nine new specialty care providers during the last quarter.
Specialty care providers (also known as specialists), including doctors and advanced practice practitioners, are important in helping manage specific types of symptoms and conditions. Specialists are focused on a specific area of medicine and can address chronic or acute conditions related to oncology, cardiology, nephrology, orthopedics, endocrinology, and other ailments. Patients may also see a specialist for certain preventative services, such as a mammogram or colonoscopy.
“We are excited to be able to expand access to quality care and reduce the wait times for an appointment to be seen by a specialist,” said Robert Miller, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, Piedmont Newnan Hospital. “These new providers are here to help the community take charge and stay ahead of their health.”
At Piedmont, our team of providers, primary care and specialty, coordinate together to provide the best care, resulting in better health outcomes. When making an appointment with a specialist, first check if they require a referral from your primary care physician.
