Athens, Ga. (April 16, 2024) – Piedmont Athens Regional is partnering with local organizations to host a public safety event to discuss how runners and walkers can protect themselves when exercising in public spaces. The event is being held on Sunday, April 21, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Medical Services Building at Piedmont Athens Regional.

Attendees can participate in a panel discussion with local law enforcement, take a self-defense class, as well as learn about and purchase running and safety gear from local businesses. Refreshments will be provided.

We Run This Town is free to attend, but registration is encouraged.
