Athens, Ga. (March 18, 2024) – The Piedmont Athens Regional Foundation is hosting its annual Mint Jubilee fundraiser on Saturday, May 4, at the Georgia Theatre in downtown Athens. Funds raised at the event will be used to support the hospital’s Breast Health Center and women in the community who are uninsured or underinsured receive screening and diagnostic mammograms.

Piedmont Athens Regional’s Breast Health Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeon’s National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and is an American College of Radiology’s Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (ACR BICOE). The center also offers patients a comprehensive oncology program that is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

The Mint Jubilee is a unique Kentucky Derby-themed fundraising event hosted to benefit the area of greatest need at Piedmont Athens Regional. The Piedmont Athens Regional Foundation team’s goal is to raise $200,000 to help patients in our community who cannot afford screening and diagnostic mammograms and identify aggressive forms of breast cancer sooner.

Guests are invited to dress up in Kentucky Derby-themed attire, sip classic mint juleps, and enjoy the festive atmosphere while watching live the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby. Musical guest Caylee Hammack will perform following the race.

All proceeds raised at the Mint Jubilee stay at Piedmont Athens Regional.
