Conyers, Ga. (May. 16, 2023) – Piedmont Rockdale Hospital has named Justin Roberts as Chief Financial Officer. Roberts comes to Rockdale from Piedmont Newton Hospital, where he served as that hospital’s CFO.

Roberts has nearly 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry and worked with the Newton team to help manage the hospital’s financial performance while also performing budgeting and forecasting analysis for service lines and strategic growth opportunities.

“We are excited to have Justin be part of the team here at Piedmont Rockdale with his extensive knowledge of healthcare finance,” said Monica Hum, M.D., Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Piedmont Rockdale. “Piedmont is a nonprofit system and ‘Stewardship’ – being careful stewards of the resources entrusted to us – is one of our anchors as an organization. Justin will play an integral role in our stewardship as our new CFO.”

Roberts will work as a member of the Piedmont Rockdale leadership team.  His portfolio will include managing waste reduction efforts and managing productivity standards, in addition to other entity financial performance duties.

Prior to his tenure at Piedmont Newton, Roberts served at Piedmont Athens Regional, a 427-bed, Level II trauma center that covers a 17-county service area, in various roles, including Director of Finance.

Roberts is a graduate of Georgia College & State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He earned a master’s degree in Business/Healthcare Administration from Piedmont College in Athens.

Roberts succeeds Marty Wynn, who now serves as CFO at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center and Piedmont Walton Hospital.
