Job Summary:

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Oncologist to join our growing, multidisciplinary cancer care team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in surgical oncology and a collaborative approach to cancer treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage cancer patients requiring surgical intervention in collaboration with a comprehensive oncology team
• Perform complex oncologic surgical procedures with a focus on optimal oncologic outcomes and organ preservation
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and contribute to the development of personalized treatment plans
• Provide compassionate pre-operative and post-operative care to patients and their families
• Interpret and integrate diagnostic data including imaging, pathology, and biopsy results
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with Piedmont’s standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery with fellowship training in Surgical Oncology
• Eligible for or hold an active Georgia medical license
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-acuity environment
• Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based cancer care

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a health system or academic setting
• Experience with robotic-assisted and minimally invasive oncologic surgery
• Interest in teaching, research, or cancer program development
