Piedmont Columbus Regional is seeking a BE/BC Acute Care Surgeon to join our Surgical Intensivist team. This position is hospital employed with Piedmont Physician Group and is a high-volume practice. This position offers excellent benefits plan, call coverage with other local surgeons, as well as a highly skilled nursing team.

Requirements & Highlights:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible
• Acute Care Surgery experience
• Proficient in minimally invasive and complex open operations
• Perform routine emergency general surgery procedures
• Work/life balance with the schedule consisting of 12- & 24-hour shifts, 12-hour rounding with 12-hour call making it 182 shifts a year.

Most procedures are minimally invasive with some complex cases in our Level II Trauma Center. Piedmont Columbus Regional has an excellent critical care team to assist in the care of patients in the ICU, as well as other clinical service lines to support the full scope of patient care at the highest level. The team is comprised of four surgicalists, and additional APP support.
