Piedmont MyChart Now Requires Two-Factor Authentication

Piedmont MyChart Two-Factor Authentication

We are adding an extra layer of security to your Piedmont MyChart portal to give you the added peace of mind that your medical information is always safe and secure. Starting on May 14th, 2025, Piedmont MyChart users will be required to obtain a two-factor authentication code to verify your identity when you log in. There are four options available to set this up, ensuring you have a hassle-free, personalized experience every time you access your information.

When you log in to your Piedmont MyChart account,

  • You will now be taken to the Verify Your Identity page.
  • Next, you can request a code to be sent by email or text message.
  • Once you receive a code, you must enter it to finish logging in.

During the setup process, “Skip this step next time” is automatically selected, so you do not have to enter a code for the next 90 days if you log in using the same device.

You must select “Authenticator App” under Account Settings in your Piedmont MyChart app. The code received within the Authenticator App should be copied and pasted back to MyChart for you to verify your identity and log in.
