Opioid Prescribing Conference Presentations
Piedmont’s first system-wide continuing medical education (CME) course was webcast to eight campuses from Athens on April 21. The course provided three hours of state-mandated education on opioid prescribing and was attended by more than 400 providers. These photos were taken simultaneously at three of the sites. "This endeavor exemplifies the Piedmont values of teamwork and connections as well as embracing the future," said John Henson, MD, Chief of Oncology Services and Chairman of the Piedmont Atlanta Education Committee. "We look forward to further expanding the educational offerings across the system through the use of advanced technology," noted Linda Groarke, Program Administrator for Continuing Medical Education at Piedmont Athens Regional. "Special thanks goes out to all those at each of the facilities who helped to make this undertaking a success."
