In the formation of the Marcus Heart Valve Center, a key collaborative relationship was forged with the Mitral Foundation and its director, Dr. David Adams, a leader in the field of heart valve surgery and mitral valve reconstruction.  The Mitral Foundation, part of the Mitral Valve Repair Reference Center at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, is focused on advancing the understanding of mitral valve disease and improving the quality of patient care. 

This partnership supports Marcus Heart Valve Center’s mission to be a leading center for the advancement of heart valve care, innovative treatments and patient and physician education.

Mitral Valve Repair for Anterior Leaflet Prolapse

Journey into the operating room to observe a challenging mitral valve repair on a 62-year-old patient with anterior leaflet prolapse.
