Stockbridge, Ga. (Sept. 16, 2019) – Over 300 people gathered on Saturday, Sept. 7, for Piedmont Henry Hospital’s Posh at Porsche event. Celebrating Piedmont Henry’s commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to the community, the event raised nearly $200,000, which will go towards completing construction of a Patient Simulation Lab for the not-for-profit hospital.

“Piedmont Henry is committed to creating the next generation of healthcare workers and our goal is that the high school and college students who will have access to this lab will become the next generation of Piedmont employees,” said Piedmont Henry CEO Deborah Armstrong. “The support we received at Saturday’s event shows that our community is just as committed to that future as we are.”

During the Posh at Porsche event, Armstrong also spoke about the hospital’s growth over the past year, particularly in the hospital’s emergency department, which receives more than 90,000 visits a year, making it the Piedmont system’s busiest in metro Atlanta.

“This past June, we unveiled brand-new, first–of-its-kind-in-Georgia, vertical treatment spaces in our emergency department designed to ensure better, faster care for our patients,” said Armstrong. “Making this investment in our community shows Piedmont Henry’s ongoing commitment to deliver safe care and ensure the best possible experience for our patients.”
