Piedmont Henry Salutes Hospital Volunteers

Stockbridge, Ga. (April 22, 2019)- The volunteers are always familiar and friendly faces at Piedmont Henry Hospital, whether they are in the gift shop, assisting patients and visitors at the information desk or raising funds for a variety of hospital projects.

In recognition of National Healthcare Volunteer Week, Piedmont Henry Hospital is extending their most sincere thanks to the Piedmont Henry Hospital Auxiliary volunteers for their contributions to the hospital.

“Our volunteers are often the first to connect with people visiting our hospital. They are affectionately greeting people who are anxious, worried or simply confused about being at the hospital,” said Donna Braddy, director of community relations and volunteer services at Piedmont Henry Hospital. “Our volunteers take the time with these individuals to provide information or help them navigate to the correct department.”

In 2018, the volunteers provided a total of 34,314 of service to the hospital. This is in addition to the fundraising events, such as jewelry sales, scrub sales, the Gift Gallery the auxiliary organizes each year to benefit Piedmont Henry. With the funds raised by these efforts, the auxiliary donates more than $75,000 each year for hospital equipment.

“We are so grateful for the many ways in which our volunteers enrich our hospital,” said Braddy. “They give us the precious gift of their time and make a positive difference in the lives they touch.”
