Generous Donor Celebrates Birthday by Showing Appreciation to Piedmont Atlanta Employees

Piedmont Atlanta's Fall Festival was a gift from Alan Elsas, a member of the Piedmont Foundation Board of Directors, in honor of his 80th birthday.

To commemorate his 80th birthday, current Piedmont Healthcare Foundation board member Alan Elsas called upon his social network to help him raise funds to benefit Piedmont Atlanta Hospital’s Staff Support Fund. He wanted to give back to the frontline staff members who have given so much of themselves to fight COVID-19.

Because of Mr. Elsas' Facebook fundraiser, Piedmont Atlanta was able to treat employees to a masked-up, socially distant Fall Festival on October 23. We enjoyed outdoor games, healthy activities, karaoke, painting (pumpkins and rocks, for a special rock garden) and all kinds of delicious fall festival food.

Thanks to all who joined us for the festivities, and special thanks to Mr. Elsas for going out of his way to share his special day with all of us. We sincerely appreciate Mr. Elsas' kindness and generosity and are touched that he found a way to bring smiles and fun to our staff members.
