Monroe, Ga. (March 3, 2020) – Piedmont Walton Hospital will host its annual Rock for Relay event on Friday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at The Engine Room located at 601 South Madison Ave. in Monroe, Ga.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Relay for Life of Walton County, the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

“We look forward to hosting this upcoming event,” said Heather Boyce, community relations manager at Piedmont Walton, who helped to lead the coordination of this year’s event. “Relay for Life is committed to saving lives from cancer, and the donations that we provide help many around the world, as well as those close to home in our community.” 

The Rock for Relay event will include hors d’oeuvres, drinks, a silent auction and a musical showcase with local artists Tyler Crews and Monkey Wrench.  

The money raised through Relay for Life events helps support the American Cancer Society's mission to save lives, celebrate life, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. Donations are used to fund life-saving cancer research, patient support services, prevention and education information, and detection and treatment programs.

“We invite everyone in the community to join us for this fun event, as we raise money for an important cause,” said Boyce.
