Admission Standards & Application Process

To be considered for admission, candidates must meet the following requirements.

• Educational Background: Completion of a graduate degree (MS or PhD) in medical physics from a CAMPEP-accredited program. Alternatively, candidates with a graduate degree in a related discipline (e.g., physics, engineering) must have completed all required CAMPEP certificate prior to the start of the residency.
• Academic Transcripts: Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions must be provided, demonstrating a solid academic record and successful completion of relevant coursework in medical physics or related fields.
• Curriculum Vitae (CV): A current CV that clearly outlines the applicant’s educational background, research and/or clinical experience, publications, presentations, and other relevant professional accomplishments.
• Statement of Purpose: A personal essay that articulates the applicant’s motivation for pursuing a clinical residency in medical physics, their understanding of the field, and their long-term career objectives.
• Letters of Recommendation: Three letters of recommendation are required. At least one letter must be from the applicant’s current academic advisor, graduate program director, or department head. These letters should address the applicant’s academic abilities, clinical potential, professionalism, and suitability for a residency program.
