(August 21, 2012) – Piedmont Physicians Group welcomes urologist Matthew Sand, M.D., who specializes in treating patients with low testosterone, erectile dysfunction, stone disease and voiding dysfunction, to Piedmont Physicians Urology Specialists located at 1800 Howell Mill Road, Suite 500.

Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians Urology Specialists, Dr. Sand was the chief resident in urology at the New York University Medical Center, where he trained with national experts in prostate cancer, robotic surgery, urologic stone disease, and female urologic disorders.
Dr. Sand earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina’s School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors. He completed his surgical internship and residency in urology at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Sand’s undergraduate degree in microbiology is from the University of Georgia, where he graduated with first honor status.
Effective August 20, Dr. Sand will be available at Piedmont Physicians Urology Specialists, located at 1800 Howell Mill Road, Suite 500, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. He is accepting new patients and most major insurance plans.
