Are some fats good for you?

Have you ever heard of “healthy fats?” It’s true, they do exist. Tyler Williams, executive chef at Tap restaurant in Midtown Atlanta, explains why some fats are actually good for you.

“Healthy fats allow your body to absorb vitamins,” Williams says. “Olive oil or flax seed oils are a great way to add flavor to your food while keeping your cholesterol down.”

If you want a quick snack without a lot of guilt, pick up avocados, almonds or any kind of nuts, or olives.

“These are great little snacks that provide a lot of energy,” Williams says. “They are good for you and they help reduce bad cholesterol.”
