Red, white and blue cookie cake

Get patriotic with this fun, easy Fourth of July dessert. It's so simple, the kids can help!  

Ingredients:

  • 1 roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries or raspberries (Feel free to use strawberries, raspberries or a combination of both)

  • 1 banana

  • 1.5 cups fresh blueberries

Instructions:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.

  • Spray a rectangular cookie sheet pan with cooking spray.

  • Cut cookie dough into 1/4-inch slices; place in pan. Using fingers, press evenly over bottom to form crust a rectangle crust.

  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until deep golden brown.

  • Cool completely, about 25 minutes.

  • In medium bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until creamy. Spread over baked crust.

  • Get creative with decorating!  You can use blueberries to make stars, strawberries or raspberries to make red stripes, and bananas to make white stripes.

  • Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes. Store in refrigerator.
