The Piedmont Hospital Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) provides an educational update on the state of the industry in 2023. The PERT team leads Piedmont Atlanta’s Level 1 Cardiovascular Emergency Program and consists of a multidisciplinary group of pulmonary critical care physicians, intensivists, interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiac surgeons. As a founding member of the National PERT Consortium, Piedmont is helping to advance the science of pulmonary embolism care nationally and within the Piedmont Healthcare system.
