Fayetteville, Ga. (June 29, 2020) – When patients are discharged from Piedmont Fayette Hospital and transported via ambulance to another facility, there is not necessarily a blanket to cover and keep the patient warm while en route. The Piedmont Fayette Auxiliary is seeking donations of blankets to provide to patients being transported to another facility, such as rehabilitation centers or hospice.
“Our purpose at Piedmont is to make a positive difference in every life we touch,” said Sandra Biles, Director of Inpatient Services at Piedmont Fayette. “We feel it is important to extend that level of care even when our patients leave our hospital.”
Donated blankets must be brand-new or hand-made, twin-sized, cotton-blend. No fleece is accepted. Donors or groups wishing to donate blankets may sew-on tags noting the donor name.
Blankets may be dropped off Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Piedmont Fayette Auxiliary Office, 1279 Highway 54 West, 3rd Floor, Fayetteville, Ga 30214.
Blankets may also be shipped or mailed to Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary Office, 1255 Highway 54 West, Fayetteville, GA 30214.
