Hospital's CMO, CEO discuss response to COVID-19 pandemic and recovery efforts
Covington, Ga. (June 3, 2020) -- Piedmont Newton Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer, Norris Little, M.D. and Chief Executive Officer, David Kent, recently sat down with the Covington News to discuss the hospital’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the safety measures they have implemented to ensure patients are safe as they come to the hospital for care.
These measures include:
- Screening all patients, visitors, employees and doctors for fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, severe headache, sore throat or loss of smell or taste.
- All employees, patients and visitors are required to wear masks throughout the facility when social distancing is not possible.
- Enhanced sanitation throughout the facility and an increased focus on hand hygiene.
- Implemented social distancing in public areas to decrease the spread of germs.
